Laser Skin Renewal

The SmoothBeam laser treatment is a new non-invasive way to treat wrinkles and fine lines.

Smoothbeam targets water in the upper dermis and induces thermal injury to collagen, which stimulates the growth of new collagen to improve skin tone.

What does the treatment include?

  • Wearing safety eyewear to protect the eyes of the practitioner and the client during the treatment.
  • Prior to treatment, a patch test will be performed. Depending on the skin reaction, treatment may be continued on the same day, or two weeks later.
  • Minimum discomfort is expected, but topical anesthesia may be applied if necessary.
  • Depending on the area treated, the procedure can take a few minutes, or up to an hour or longer.
  • The treated area may become pink or red; this may last for a few hours or several days, and is relieved with the application of ice or cooling gels.

Your practitioner will discuss with you all precautions to be taken before and after your treatment. However, the following important precautions should be noted before you are able to start your laser treatments:

  • Most importantly, avoid the sun 4 to 6 weeks before and after treatment, or until your practitioner allows it.
  • Avoid electrolysis, plucking or waxing hair for 6 weeks prior to treatment.
